Trapylen® 187 EAC is a chlorinated polypropylene dissolved in ethyl acetate. It possesses a slightly lower chlorine content compared to the similar Trapylen® 186 EAC but maintains good compatibility with other resins and polymers, along with excellent pigment wetting. The cured film exhibits high gloss and very good chemical and aging resistance. The primary advantage of Trapylen® 187 EAC lies in its outstanding adhesion to untreated polypropylene, PP/EPDM thermoplastic rubber, and, with limitations, polyethylene. However, its resistance against fatty oil and grease is limited and may be compensated for by using it with low-chlorinated Trapylen® grades.
