FILCO® TAC-453 is a milky liquid unsaturated polyester resin dispersed in a non-ionic medium, designed for use as a film in glass fiber sizing applications. Its key characteristics include having a non-ionic emulsifier built into the polymer, ensuring a narrow particle size distribution, and granting a prolonged shelf life due to resistance against hydrolysis and fine particle size. It also boasts high mechanical shear stability in diluted emulsions and exhibits stability against hydrolysis and sedimentation across a broad pH spectrum.

Functions: Film Former

Chemical Family: Polyesters, Unsaturated Polyester (UPE)

Compatible Polymers & Resins: Unsaturated Polyester (UPE)

Processing Methods: Filament Winding, Pultrusion, Spray Lay-up
