Lanphos PE36, a potent emulsifier applicable across diverse polymer systems, is particularly valued as a primary emulsifier, eliminating the necessity for a secondary surfactant for system stabilization. It serves as the top preference for formulators due to its versatility. Apart from yielding remarkably small particle sizes, it incorporates an inherent stabilizer system, preventing polymer particle re-agglomeration.

Functions: Emulsifier, Friction Modifier, Lubricant, Surfactant, Surfactant (Anionic)

Chemical Family: Organophosphates, Phosphate Esters, Phosphorous-based Compounds

Applicable Processes: Emulsification, Emulsion Polymerization, Leather Manufacturing

Lanphos PE36 is a phosphate ester manufactured using phosphorous pentoxide to give a product that contains both mono and di-
esters The main advantage of a phosphate ester over a conventional anionic is its excellent stability in a high concentration of acid, alkali and electrolyte. Lanphos PE36, is supplied in free acid form but when neutralized the product can be used in areas such as:

  • Textiles as a lubrication aid and/or emulsifier
  • Leather
  • I & I
  • Household
  • Metalworking cutting fluids - especially when neutralized with TEA
  • Agrochemicals
  • Emulsion polymerisation and resin emulsification
