Deuteron® WS is a silicone-based additive made from a highly compatible polyether silicone block polymer. It effectively reduces surface tension, resulting in enhanced flow and leveling properties when incorporated into water-based coatings and inks. This additive contributes to improving the surface smoothness of the applied coatings.

Deuteron® WS is suitable for all aqueous formulations. The addition of Deuteron® WS specifically improves

Deuteron® WS does not affect recoatability and does not show any incompatibilities like cratering.

Dosage Information

0.1 - 1.0 % (calculated on the complete formulation) depending on binder, application and required properties.

Processing Information
  • Deuteron® WS can be added at any stage of the manufacturing process. It is easily dispersable and should be added while stirring.
  • Silicone additive for the improvement of surface smoothness.
