Product Highlights
  • Deuteron® ND 953 is an aqueous solution of a sodium polyaldehyde carboxylate. It acts as dispersant for inor- ganic pigments and fillers in water-based formulations and effectively reduces viscosity in highly filled emulsion paints and plasters.
  • Deuteron® ND 953 can be used in resin free millbases and in combination with grinding resins. Deuteron® ND 953 works only in the pH range above 7. The pH value of the system must be adjusted accor- dingly. It is incompatible with cationic substances.

Application and Dosage Information

Deuteron® ND 953 is particularly suitable for:

  • Inorganic pigments and filler
  • Emulsion paints and plasters
  • Filler
  • Adhesives
  • Pigment concentrates

Deuteron® ND 953 especially acts as:

  • Wetting and dispersing agent
  • Anti-floating additive

Dosage

  • The addition levels of Deuteron® ND 953 depends on the wetting properties of the binders and on the surface area of the pigments. Relative to the pigment content 0.3 – 0.7 % are a good starting point for formulation trials.

Processing

Deuteron® ND 953 is added to the binder phase prior be- fore pigment addition and dispersion / grinding process.
