Sucroplast TBC is produced through the esterification of citric acid with butanol. This oily, transparent liquid with a characteristic odor is insoluble in water but slightly soluble in alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, acetone, and toluene. Widely used as a primary plasticizer, it exhibits excellent compatibility with polyvinyl chloride and copolymers. Applications include medical and pharmaceutical products, inks, food packaging, stickers, and cosmetics.
