Product Highlights
  • TRAPYLEN® 9350 W is an adhesion promoter based on chemically modified, polypropylene dissolved in water. It has outstanding affinity to polyolefinic substrates.
  • It is especially developed to improve surface tension of treated and untreated films, foils, foams and even molded parts of PP, PE, polyolefinic blends, a.o.
  • The increase of wetting properties permits the bonding, printing, flocking and painting of such substrates.
  • TRAPYLEN® 9350 W can be occasionally used as adhesion promoter incorporated in adhesives, inks and paints in case of sufficient compatibility.
  • Heat and humidity resistance of the dry film can be improved by using crosslinker TRASET 64294 W.

Applications

TRAPYLEN® 9350 W can be used as a straight primer for film application or as adhesion promoter. If used as a primer it can be applied by spraying, dipping, brushing or printing.

  • Drying conditions: 60 s at 80 °C (100 °C).
  • Residual quantity: 0.5 - 1.5 g/m².

When using TRAPYLEN® 9350 W as adhesion promoter in base coats/pigmented primers, the compatibility of the system must be checked. Recommended dosage of TRAPYLEN® 9350 W: about 30% of 100 % formula. The resulting base coat can be applied by spraying, dipping, brushing or printing if the system allows it.

  • Drying conditions: Usually 30 min at 80 °C.
  • Residual quantity: 15 g/m².
