Deuteron® WD PE is a dispersion of micronized Polyethylene wax, free of additives. Polyethylene waxes are preferred for their cost-effectiveness and positive impact on mechanical stability and visual appearance. The inclusion of Deuteron® WD PE improves resistance against abrasion and scratches, enhances matting, and creates a pleasant surface feel. Designed for ease of use in auto dosage units, this liquid dispersion is formulated without dispersing additives, emulsifiers, or defoamers, ensuring high compatibility without adversely affecting coating performance.

Deuteron® WD PE is suitable for a wide range of applications including

  • Wood and joinery coatings
  • Flexographic inks
  • Overprint varnishes
  • Metal coatings

The use of Deuteron® WD PE especially improves performance in

  • Abrasion and scratch resistance
  • Rub resistance (printing inks)
  • Matting
  • COF (coefficient of friction) reduction

0.5 - 6.0 % (calculated on the complete formulation) depending on binder, application and required properties.

Processing Information
  • Deuteron® WD PE is easy to disperse and can be incorporated using a common high-speed stirrer. It is recommended to add Deuteron® WD PE while stirring to avoid eventual agglomeration caused by concentration differences.
  • Aqueous, additive free dispersion of PE wax
