Deuteron® OG 250

• Deuteron® OG 250 is a low melting paraffin preparation in water and contains a polymeric protective colloid instead of an emulsifier. Initially developed as a temporary, removable protective coating in automotive applications (by applying the pure product by spray application)
• Deuteron® OG 250 can also be used as an additive in a wide range of water-based coatings and inks.
• Deuteron® OG 250 is an easy to use liquid that is suitable for the use in auto dosage units.

Deuteron® OG 250 is suitable for a wide range of applications including:

• Wood and joinery coatings
• Overprint varnishes

The use of Deuteron® OG 250 especially improves performance in:

• Slip reduction
• Anti-Blocking
• Water beading
• Rub resistance

Dosage

• 1 - 5 % (calculated on the complete formulation) depending on binder, application and required properties.

Processing

• Deuteron® OG 250 is easy to disperse and can be incorporated using a common high-speed stirrer. It is recommended to add Deuteron® OG 250 while stirring to avoid eventual agglomeration caused by concentration differences. Because of the low melting point it is not recommended to add Deuteron® OG 250 under high shear stress (i. e. during pigment grinding) as temperatures above 50 °C can lead to a significant agglomeration of molten wax particles.

• Plastic barrel (25 kg net)

• 12 months at room temperature and dry conditions.
• Storage temperature should not exceed 35 °C.
