- Product Highlights
- Deuteron® MM 677 is an is an additive free dispersion based on duromeric PMU (Polymethyl urea) matting plastics. The use of Deuteron® MM 677 leads to good matting effects with high flexibility, velvet feel and excellent mechanical properties.
- Deuteron® MM 677 is easy to use as a liquid preparation, dust-free and can be used in production via auto-dosing systems. The dispersion is made without using dispersing additives, emulsifiers and defoamers and thus highly compatible without negative influence on the coating performance.

- Application and Dosage Information
Applications Deuteron® MM 677 is suitable for a wide range of appli- cations including:
- Wood and joinery coatings
- Flexographic inks
- Overprint varnishes
- Metal coatings (can and coil coatings)
- Concrete coatings
The use of Deuteron® MM 677 especially improves performance in:
- Matting
- Velvety surface (soft surface feel)
- Recoatability
- High mechanical and chemical resistance
- High scratch resistance and resistance to polishing
- Temperature resistant up to over 200°C, short times up to over 300°C
- Improved blocking resistance
- Biodegradable
Dosage
- Typical addition range: 2 %–25 %
- The required dosage level highly depends on the system (e.g. binder type, additives, solvent content) and ap- plication parameters. Thus, it is highly recommended to determine the needed addition level by a practical ladder study. Please note that the addition of Deuteron® MM 677 also adds significant amounts of water to the system.
Processing
- Deuteron® MM 677 is easy to disperse and can be incorporated using a common high-speed stirrer. It is recommended to add Deuteron® MM 677 while stirring to avoid eventual agglomeration caused by concentration differences.
